My News:
I have mentioned this briefly before, but though I crave to hold myself to the standards of other writers, I often am not able to.
I was first diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder when I was nine(an age when I spent more time in the hospital and at home than in school), and it greatly alters what I can or can not do.
As an example, last week I had a flare-up. It was not a bad one, but I was very tired, swollen, sore, and, worst of all for me, had brain fog.
That brain fog is so nasty it is near impossible to try to think through, and it completely ruins any hopes of daily writing goals. I simply can’t predict when I will get sick, and it is incredibly disheartening, even if I normally am better within a week.
Still, I try to find other ways to be with my characters. Sometimes, it is just planning small visual world-building or character ideas using Pinterest, other times I draw(like the drawing below).
It might not count as writing, but it does help me flesh out my character better, so I will take it as a partial win.
